MIAMI (AP) — Tropical Depression Alberto is expected to stay well offshore as it moves up the Atlantic.

Meanwhile in the Pacific, Tropical Storm Bud's maximum sustained winds have increased to near 40 mph (65 kph). Additional strengthening is expected and Bud could become a hurricane by Wednesday night.
