Turkey Salisbury Steak

Ingredients:

6 to 8 spinach feta turkey burgers
4 tablespoons salted butter
2 cups sliced button mushrooms
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose flour
2/3 cup dry white wine
1 1/3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons chili sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1 tablespoon chopped or dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until slightly browned over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook one minute more.

In a large bowl whisk together flour, white wine, chicken broth, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce,  dried sage, parsley, salt and pepper. I added it to the onions, mushrooms and garlic.

Allow the sauce to thicken and add turkey burgers to heat and coat with the sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes and peas or favorite vegetable!
