They’re very excited because Friday night is prom night, and their graduation is right around the corner.
This was the perfect time to remind them about the dangers of texting while driving.
WIVB/WNLO crews handed out colorful “thnk b4 u txt” thumb bands and other accessories, to help these young drivers put down their phones when they’re behind the wheel.
Ken East Senior Ian Boswell said, “You can put aside for phone for the 20 minutes it takes to get from point A to point B so you can make sure everyone in the car is safe including yourself.”
WIVB and WNLO want students and adults to participate in our ongoing “thnk b4 u txt” campaign.
